Bedeutung des Namen: kegelförmiger Sägezahn

Priconodon ist ein sogenanntes Zahntaxon, da dieses Tier nur einen durch Zahn bekannt ist. Eine exakte Klassifizierung ist daher nicht möglich. Die Forscher Carpenter und Kirkland stufen Priconodon provisorisch als Nodosaurier ein.

Fundort: Potomac Formation, Prince George's County, Maryland, USA
