Coeluroides war ein kleiner Theropode und wurde anhand einiger unvollständiger, basaler Wirbel beschrieben. Lange Zeit galt dieser kleine Fleischfresser als zweifelhafte Art, bis im Jahr 2004 Fernando Novas und Kollegen ihn als gültige Art einstuften. Coeluroides war vermutlich etwa 2 Meter lang und wog geschätzte 30 kg.
